OPERATIONAL ASSESSMENT

Performing evaluations of existing programs that may be struggling due to political and/or operational challenges, or that simply wish to assess how their performance compares to external benchmarks and current best practices. We find that the primary challenges encountered by hospitalist programs usually relate to the rapidly evolving nature of hospital medicine – and the healthcare system in general – and the resulting changes in organizational expectations and operational complexity.

IMPLEMENTATION ROADMAP

Strategic and tactical guidance customized to your specific needs.

FEASABILTY ASSESSMENT

Projecting hospitalist program volume and workload, staffing requirements and probable program revenues and costs.

COMPENSATION PLAN DESIGN

CAPACITY & CAPABILITY ADAPTATION

Many programs are still organized in ways that worked well when they were small physician practices operating in a simpler environment, but are no longer effective for a much larger and more complex practice that is not only caring for patients but are also charged with leading organizational change and quality improvement in a rapidly changing and resource-constrained environment.

STAFFING and SCHEDULING GUIDANCE

Efficiently addressing coverage needs for anticipate workloads.

Aligning incentives so that the compensation plan supports the goals of the practice.

The Hospitalist movement has enjoyed tremendous growth in the past decade, and is now one of the fastest growing fields in North America.  Turn to us when you need a wealth of clinical and administrative experience.

UTILIZATION REVIEW

For your state agency and managed care organizations to run at peak efficiency with minimal waste, you need three basic things.

- Coordination of Benefits (COB) ensures that you pay only claims that you are responsible for.   - Payment Integrity (PI), also known as Program Integrity, makes sure that Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FWA) are under tight control, and that claims are medically necessary and correctly submitted. - Care quality ensures strategies and services are in place to improve care and reduce costs for members with the highest degree of need.

We have the experience you need to keep your programs running efficiently, without
impacting quality of care for your recipients.
